Jayshree
Pather was appointed as Projects
Director at the MDDA in June 2006.
She
has a Masters in Development Planning
and a Bachelor of Arts from the University
of the Witwatersrand.

Prior
to joining the Media Development and Diversity
Agency, Jayshree worked for the Canadian International
Development Agency (CIDA) to manage Canadian
ODA in the HIV/AIDS sector.
Her previous experience includes working for
a number of NGO’s including the Environmental
and Development Agency Trust (EDA), the World
Summit on Sustainable Development Civil Society
Secretariat, and IDASA. She also worked for
the Human Sciences Research Council for a brief
period.
She
is a Board member of the Sonke Justice Project
– a newly established NGO working in the
gender and HIV/AIDS field.
