NCRF would like to pledge its unconditional support to these ladies and undertakes to work hand in hand with them and the entire Board of Directors to take MDDA to its decade of existence.

The former Board of Directors team was composed of 70% women and 30% men. This current appointed has increased the women representative to 90% females and 10% male. This is the biggest paradigm shift and clear commitment by our Government to empower women. MDDA is now under the total leadership of women and this is an encouragement to other institutions to give women leadership positions and have trust in them.

We wish the out-going Board of Directors (Ms. Nomonde Gongxeka, Mr. Siviwe Minyi and Prof. Guy Berger) all of the best in their future endavours. Their three years of selfless dedication to the Community Media Sector was not in vain.

In their own small way, they have helped to take MDDA and the big family of the Community Media Sector to another level and assisted to set up more than 40 new various projects through their brilliant and intelligent decisions taken in the Board meetings where they participated.

We thank them very much and once more wish them the best in their future!!

Kind Regards,

Sonnyboy Masingi
National Chairperson for
National Community Radio Forum
